There are four official types of maps distributed in Counter Strike. 1- Bomb Defuse Bomb Defuse Maps Bomb Defuse Maps are the most common map types in Counter Strike. This kind of map is based on a bomb-planting and defusing scenario. One player in the terrorist team holds the bomb which is given automatically at the beginning of the round. That player must plant the bomb in a bomb site what is pointed in the map and the counter-terrorist team must defuse before it is exploded. If the player that carries the bomb get killed in the round the bomb falls on the ground and another terrorist team member can pick it up like a weapon. Hostage Rescue Maps Hostage Rescue Maps are original map types based on a hostage rescue situation. In these kind of maps, there are four hostages located near the terrorist spawn and the counter-terrorists must lead them to the rescue zone which is located near the counter-terrorist spawn. Escape Maps Escape Maps forces the terrorist team to reach an exit point of the map within the time allowed. Assassination Maps In Assassination Maps there is a player selected as a VIP in the counter-terrorist team automatically at the beginning of the round. VIP player can't buy an equipment but starts with a weapon (USP). In order to counter-terrorists win, VIP must reach to the rescue point alive. |
